How To Get Oprah Winfrey Tickets |
|
I have been trying to get Oprah tickets for literally 7 years or more.
Everytime I tried by phone, I would get a busy signal. In the rare
instances when I got through, I would get a recording saying there were no
more tickets available for that month, but I should try again the next
month. Then about a month ago, my son asked if I still wanted to go to an Oprah
show. I said are you kidding? I have been waiting 7 years to go. He said
that he checks the Oprah website and there is a link for last minute
tickets. When he clicked on this, he saw there were tickets available for
the 2/18 and 2/19 taping. He sent me the link to fill out. I immediately
filled out the form which asked for my name, address, phone, who I would be
taking with me to the taping of the show and then there was a space for me
to explain why I wanted to go. I wrote that I have been waiting for years
go to an Oprah show, that I admired Oprah and I felt that all her topics
were pertinent to women's interests (at this point, I did not know the
subject matter of the show that I was applying for). Then on Friday, Feb.
13th I received a call from Harpo Studios! The fellow asked if I was still
available to attend the February 18th taping. I said, of course, I have
waited 7 years for this! He then asked who would I be bringing. I
mentioned the name of my friend who I also gave in my original e-mail. He
then instructed me to be at the studio at 7 AM but no later than 7:30 AM,
bring a photo ID, do not bring a cell phone or a camera and to bring a small
purse as the purse will be thoroughly checked of it's contents. If you bring
a cell phone (which I did), you must check it and it would be returned to
you after the show. So, that is the story on how I got to go to the taping of an Oprah show. And boy--am I glad I went! |
