If you like Las Tablas, you will love the more sophisticated atmosphere of the BYOB, Tango Sur. BUT - be prepared to wait a LONG time. At 6:15 p.m. on a Saturday night, it was a 2 1/2 hour wait....the good news? The host will take your cell # and call you when your table is ready, giving you an opportunity to have some pre-dinner cocktails at any of the fun bars on Southport. The tables are lit with candles and there are white tablecloths, but this is not pretentious; it's actually a really fun, nice environment - great for a group. The steak is really tasty as are the empanadas. If you are adventurous, there are plenty of traditional Argentenian dishes to try.
